The Hanover Community Centre on Southover Street provides space, facilities and activities for local residents. The building is managed by the Hanover Community Association.

 

Over the last 3 years we have delivered a series of improvements to the building, as well as transformed the centre garden into a thriving community meeting space.

We are now looking to recruit a Centre manager who can continue the work to realise the full potential of this fantastic building in the heart of Hanover.

​

We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic person, who can develop and grow the Centre whilst balancing the needs of our hirers, neighbours and the wider community.

 

Hours: 25 hours per week, flexible hours Monday to Friday (to include very occasional evening and

weekend work). Working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary: £26,500 per annum (pro-rata; 67% FTE =£17,755)

As directed by the Centre Trustees you would be responsible for:

Overseeing the running of the Centre

Managing day-to-day centre finances

Managing the building, and line managing the centre caretaker

Maximising Centre usage, activities and income

Promoting the Centre and its activities within the local area and beyond

Ideally you would have experience of managing a building, events and / or working within a

community setting.
